I know that FMP historically has limited duplicate checking/catching abilities. I am wonsdering what the best way to prevent duplicate information from being entered and/or imported is.

Thx.

Kind of a broad question. It's like asking the best way write a novel. First it depends on what you consider duplicate information. Are two people with the first name Jill duplicates? Are two people with the first name Jill and the last name Smith duplicates? What if one lives at 123 S. Main Street and the other at 123 South Main Street?

This is just to illustrate how complicated duplicate checking can be. The approaches used will depend on the definition of a duplicate.
