Line spacing changing at print

Featured Replies

Can't figure this one out - and can't seem to get the forum search to work.

Line spacing shows single on layout, browse, and preview. When I send to the printer - line spacing goes to double. If change layout spacing to .5 on paragraph control, it looks crammed on the screen, but prints correctly.

Any ideas???

This is with FMP 5?

Basic things first: make sure FMP is updated to the latest patch level (check the FMI web site), the make sure the operating system is up to date, then check the printer drivers are updated.

Then start looking for font problems. Change printer driver to postscript or pcl if possible and test. Use a different printer, test with a different computer.

Check whether the printer is set to use font substitution.

My worst fear is that it might be a fundamental incompatibility with FMP 5 and the newer software. Might be time to upgrade.

Thanks for the reply, Vaughan.

My bad - I hadn't updated my profile. We recently upgraded, from 5 to 9.

I don't know why/how this happened, or why it caused the problem - but here's the deal.

The upgrade caused some of our forms/letters to lose the font specification. When the body of the letter is selected, it shows no font. I changed the font to ariel, or what ever the letter was in previously, and the print problem is corrected.

Strange, but true.
