Finding Duplicates using !

Hi.

If I use ! in the Find Mode, will this find all of the duplicate records in my table?

If so, can I delete the "found" duplicate records in order to have a clean, no duplicate database?

No because this will delete your originals as well. You can either do an advanced search for +delete +duplicates or you can follow the method in FileMaker's help files.

How do you do that advance search that you mentioned.

I'm trying to delete all dups from the database without deleting the originals.

Mr Vodka was suggesting that you search the Forums using the term "+delete +duplicates" to find other posts that may help, or search FMP help for their suggested method.

I'm having problems finding any topics on finding and removing duplicates without deleting the original record in FMP9.
