Newbies Monc Posted December 2, 2008 Newbies Posted December 2, 2008 Hello everyone, Since I told FMS to show only databases which users have rights for to connect to, some of the users complain about getting disconnected and when trying to reconnect, users can klick on the servers IP-Adresse, but no more databases are shown. What to do, what to do? Could it be the firewall? I dont think so, cause changing the option that users can see whatever database there is on the FMS, although for most of the databases they dont have accounts for, the problem like the one described above does not exist anymore. An Option for the users is to boot their client computer and after that FMS offers them their database again. My chef does not allow FMS to show every database for "security reasons". So I cant change it back how it used to be. Can somebody please help? Thanks a lot.
IdealData Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 You are confused here. The "Network access to file" is exactly what it says - it allows or denies FILE ACCESS by "All", "None" or "Privilege set". The "Don't display in Open Remote File dialog" is not influenced by the network access settings and applies to everyone. Reset the network access to it's previous state.
