hello I am working on editing a layout, this time it was resizing a field, the screen freezes, I exit out of the layout and go back , and everything is gone, the fields the buttons, it is all balnk

Are you doing this while the file is being served?

no, it is the file maker database by itself.

I can see the table and the fields when I go to manage database, and if I create another field

Is this the only file that this is happening to. I would try and recreate the problem in a different file. If it works correctly, then the file is exhibiting symtoms of corruption, can you attach a copy of it?

I will create a new fm file and see if the problem persists, i have been moving the file from a few different computers on my thumb drive, maybe it got corrupted as you mentioned.
