hello, I am having trouble looking up values from other tables,

in the ISSUE table, I want to select a the tech name field and have the field TECH NUMBER be populated, the data comes form the TECHS table,

but I just can't get it to work,

Your relationship from Issues to Tech Names should only be based upon Tech Number. You don't even need the field Tech Name in Issues at all! Either change your value list to a pop-up (which will always display the Tech Name after selection or place your Tech Name field (from Tech Name table) directly on your Issues layout. It's the power of relational - no need to have the Tech Name in both places.
