Never mind..once again after posting, I went back and read the book, and looked at my script and apparently not following the instructions makes the script not work...then after applying the correct instructions it worked.

Hi,

Playing around with some importing...I have a file saved to my desktop as a .fp7 file.

I have written a scrip to import the data from that file.

However when I import I always get a file with just the auto date field entered (no field data) then I get a file with the data from the fields but not the auto date entered field (it is blank).

I don't know if the attached image will help?
