Alternate portal row color

Hi,

This should be a very simple question, but I just can't figure it out. I setup a portal with "Alternate background fill" check. It looks nice when I look at it. If I need to add records into the portal, some rows' alternate color just disappeared. The whole portal looks inconsistent, some with all white and some part has alternate color. Is there any way to make the portal nice during record entry?

Go to Layout Mode. Select the Layouts Menu and then Layout Setup. Deselect the "Show field frames when record is active."
