The salesman are wanting to work outside the office. How do you all handle this? I can open the two ports in the firewall to access Filemaker Server Directly. I don't know if this is the industry standard. Please help.....

Yes, this is done in thousands of locations on a daily basis. Port 5003 is the one that needs to be opened and forwarded to the FIleMaker Server machine. If you enable encryption in the Console, then the data are protected as they travel over the WAN.

So is this safe? Do hackers exploit port 5003? I am just curious and would say it is safe but I am just curious.
