Yup, definitely a Left Brain question! Create two copies of the same field, one filled with white and one filled with yellow. Use the Format Menu --> Field Format to uncheck "Allow entry into field" for the white filled copy. Stack the white filled field on top of the yellow filled field. When you click or tab to the field it will always go to the back field, because it allows entry, and display with a yellow background.
