Does anybody know of a solution that will search through layouts and possibly scripts to find if a particular field is being used? I inherited a couple of databases that are a mess. This would save tremendous amounts of time.

Waves in Motion makes a product called Analyzer Pro that runs on Macs only that will document your database(s). See them at www.wmotion.com.

There is a PC version of Analyzer. See their web site (already referred to in one of the previous replies).

Yes, they do have a product for FREE that runs on a PC, BUT it doesn't do anything with scripts because Filemaker, in its infinite wisdom, hasn't enabled that funtion.
