Is it possible to use a three machine deployment with:

Machine 1 running 10.4.11 & FMSA 10 for FM

Machine 2 running 10.5 or 10.4 & FMSA 10 for WPE

Machine 3 running linux with apache?

Thanks,

Drew

10.4.11 thru 10.5.4 for the database server and the Web Publishing Engine. For the Web Server either IIS on Windows or Apache on Macintosh. I do not believe Apache on Linux will work. It certainly is not supported.

Steven

Depends on what you want to do with machine 3

The PHP API just sends a cURL request to FMserver's XML feed so if you want to use machine 3 to access Filemakers XML and XSLT feeds (via the API or your own request) then the answer is yes.

Edited to add:

I'm assuming Machine 1 and/or 2 would also be running apache and serving the XML/XSLT feeds from the Filemaker Databases, and that what you are most likely asking is can you connect it it with a preexisting LAMP server.
