I have developed a runtime solution for an inventory database. The database and the runtime solution runs/functions just fine on my computer (OSX 10.5, FMPAdvanced), but will not run another computer (OSX 10.4) that does not have FM installed. The user gets the message "This action cannot be performed because this field is not modifiable." when they try to enter and/or delate a new/old record (new inventory item). The "new record" and other actions are greyed out on the menu bar. I am following the manual/book directions to create the runtime solution (I think!). Does anyone know what I might be wrong? It sounds like your file is set to read-only (in the OS, not in Filemaker).

Thanks for replying....I placed a copy of the runtime solution in the Drop box on the other computer and that was making it read-only. The solution works fine when I physically copy the solution to the other computer by thumb-drive!!
