sicSRT8 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Is it possible for a script on monday morning be able to export and email the records from a set range of dates each week in xls? I have to pull record reports each week and this would be very useful if possible. I know other programs have the capibility but not sure if FM is able to. IF So How? Thanks
aldipalo Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 This should get you going in the right direction. hth. Send_XLS_Email.zip
sicSRT8 Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 Thanks for the script. Am I able to set the script to auto send on say Monday at 8am based on a search range?
aldipalo Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 With FM 9, No. You would need a plugin like Eventscript or scriptfire or zippscript. I'm not sure which one of those offers that feature.
sicSRT8 Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 Just curious if I go to 10 pro would that work. If using an addon like one of the ones you mentioned are they avail thru TechNet membership? All of which im upgrading in a few weeks. I will be using the same system on two other branch locations. This would be a huge help if im able to do this.
aldipalo Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) Are you using FM Server? If so, I believe you can set a script to run on a schedule through FM Server. I would check on FM's web site to find out. Eventscript is free, however, I heard somewhere that it's not supported any longer. ZippScript and ScriptFire cost around $30 - $40 I believe. However, if you have three sites you will need multiple licenses. If you do a search on this site or on Google their info will pop up, I'm sure. Not sure about FM 10 as I haven't upgraded yet. I like to wait a while until the get the bugs out. hth Edited February 3, 2009 by Guest
