FilemakerKid Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Hello All, I am using Filemaker 10 Server running a script that imports a routine from MySql via ODBC. If i run the script manaully from Filemaker Pro Client, works fine and records are imported. If i run the script from Server the following error is stated: Filemaker Script Error: (Admin Concole) last scripting error (802) The file is open and running on the server fine: >>>>> Anyone have any ideas in this issue, Filemaker Technical not very helpful... Thanks, Martin
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I believe importing is supported only from the documents folder server side. Steven
FilemakerKid Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Hey Steven, You are correct, if you are importing then the Files must be in that Folder. However Filemaker are stating that i should be able to import via an ODBC connect?: Let me check with them again.... Thanks
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 OK, let us know what you hear. Steven
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 John, there are reports of this not working correctly. I am checking further. Steven
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Further information is that an ODBC import should work. But an ESS based import will not. Steven
Dagel Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) I'm really new at the whole ODBC thing and don't know if this might be relevant to your particular situation or not. I do something similar but instead of importing the MySQL data, I do a Set Field script in a FM table which has all the same fields as the MySQL table I'm connected to. Just a thought... mr_vodka Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Further information is that an ODBC import should work. But an ESS based import will not. Steven Thanks for clarifying this Steven. I do know that there are issues with importing from FileMaker files using Server side imports, which is I guess what the issue would be here if trying to use an import with an ESS view.
