Anyjoe2000 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I have updated both clients and server to FMP 10 and I notice that in most databases the option to save a find is not available, its grayed out from the drop down menu. I also noticed that the databases I checked were single table databases while the databases where this was not avalable were multiple table databases. I haven't had a lot of time to look into this and was wondering is anyone has the specifics on saved finds and when its not available
PGageler Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I discovered the same problem with just some of my files and eventually worked out that it was because I had previously applied custom menus in those database solutions. It is a cumbersome process to fix, but here goes: Go to Tools > Custom Menus > Manage Custom menus Select the Custom Menu set to be edited. In the Edit Menu Set pane on the left, click Create..., scroll to the bottom and select [saved Finds] Select the Records Copy menu (or whatever you may have renamed your menu item to previously) and click on the Edit... button. Select Submenu... then scroll to the bottom and select [saved Finds]. If you want it to appear in the usual place, drag it up to locate it just under Modify Last Find. Click OK. Now I have the option to save finds.
