Hope this is in the right place. I would like to know what FM server version I need to get or which one is recommended for a small office network. Basically a server with 7 computers. I would need to have FM on all 7 computer plus server. Is there a server package that will cover all that or would I have to get FM server edition plus 7 separate licenses?

There are several solutions to this, each with their own considerations.

1. Get a 10 user + server starter bundle. Whilst this gives you more licenses than you need you get 1 year of maintenance thrown in. you also get the opportunity to renew the maintenance next year.

2. Get a 5 user + server bundle + 2 licenses. Maintenance available on the 5 user/server, but not on the single licenses.

3. Get 8 user licences. Dedicate 1 of these to hosting your database and use the other 7 for your users. No maintenance options.

All options require a dedicated machine to run successfully, although option 3 can be run on a user machine but I wouldn't recommend it.

It all depends when you want to spend your money - now or later.
