Are there any substantial performance issues or downsides to running FMSA 10 under XP or Vista as opposed to Server 2003/2008?

Use Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP 2 32 bit edition. FileMaker Server 10 does not run on Windows XP. It will run on Vista Business SP 1, but I'd suggest that you use Windows Server OS instead.

I might also add that if you're planning on doing any Web Publishing, that Vista supports the single machine deployment only.
