Report with notes. Display most recent note (of many notes)

This is on a project tracking database.

I have a report (layout) that shows project details. One of the fields is a note field. There can be multiple notes per project.

The notes are stored in a separate table (projectID, timestamp, note)

The report is showing the very first note it finds, but the customer wants only the most recent note on this report Is there a way I can tell the report what note to display?

I can think of a way to solve this issue if it were in PHP with mySQL... But I cant quite wrap my head around this filemaker thing!

Hopefully I am being descriptive enough.

Edit the relationship from Project to Notes so that it is sorted by date created desc. Then, the first note the Project "sees" is the last created.
