Howdy all,

I am about to upgrade from Server 9 to Server 10. Here is my issue(s): -Currently server 9 is running on a Windows XP box. In order to upgrade to Server 10, I need to install a Server 2003 box. No problem until here. But, let me give you the scenario. Currently have web publishing and PHP on a separate server. Both servers are running a combined web server for a client.

If I upgrade my server to Server 10 and to Server 2003, can I still use the features on my other server running Server 9 features (PHP, Web Publishing, etc.)??

Or do I have to upgrade both and go through the whole procedure again??

Alternatively, since my "Web portion" is already in Server 2003, can I simply upgrade FM 9 to FM 10 without having to worry about it?

Thanks in advance

Not entirely following here but if you upgrade the server box for your DB, why would that affect your Webserver?

Well here, let me put it to you in a more clear fashion...

During the installation of Filemaker 9, or rather the implementation of Filemaker 9, we used a multi server deployment.

I guess my question is:

When I upgrade my Server to Filemaker 10, which will be my primary Database, do I need to upgrade the Web Server portion as well (which is on a separate physical machine)?

Or

Can I simply upgrade the Database to Filemaker 10, all of the connections are already established to my Database server from the Web Server and no requirements to update the "slave machine" to Filemaker 10?

I hope that makes more sense...

Database server and Web Publishing Engine must both be updated. Web Server (IIS or Apache) can stay the same.
