Hello,

In the FileMaker Server Administrator's guide for FileMaker Server 5.0, it says that if you create a shortcut to the database and put the shortcut in the filemaker server directory, you should be able to have these files hosted by the server. However, when I try it, it does not work. Any suggestions?

I have tried removing all spaces from the shortcut name.

Thanks,

Constance

Not enough information to properly evaluate.

Where are the files stored?

Do they work when stored on the server?

Why do you not store them on the server?

What version of FMP?

Shortcut needs to point to a drive local to that machine. It can not point to a networked drive or drive on another machine.

Make sure that the dbs are set to multi-user.

That should get you up and running. Let me know if it doesn't.
