database ( small obviously! ) ran on floppy?

Hi,

Yes you read right, I want to, I should say I tried to run a mini database on a 1.44 mb floppy but I get a "not enough memory" message even though the database is 100kb. Why does Filemaker throw that memory message to me?

Sounds like your harddrive is due to a defragmentation, the swapping/pagegin area is somewhat inadequate...
