Hello Everybody,

I have noticed for sometime now that the FileMaker Server 5 closes the FileMaker files on it's own. I have set the option so that I start the FileMaker Server service manually, and so I have to open the files again myself. Does anybody have an idea why that happens, and how I can avoid it?

I don't have an answer, but after we first cut a server (7500/G3/300/OS8.6) over to FM 5, we had this happen once in the first week. It has not reoccurred in over 3 months. I don't know is this is random or there is something going on.

What platform are you on? Has this happened repeatedly? -bd

Thanks for replying..well, yes it's been happening about every 3 weeks for two months now.

We're usinf the FM Server on Windows NT Server. This wasn't actually happening when we first installed the FM Server; but once we started using the files, this started to happen.

Thak again, and I shall wait for some more ideas!
