BAZ Posted December 5, 2000 Share Posted December 5, 2000 Hello Everybody, I have noticed for sometime now that the FileMaker Server 5 closes the FileMaker files on it's own. I have set the option so that I start the FileMaker Server service manually, and so I have to open the files again myself. Does anybody have an idea why that happens, and how I can avoid it? LiveOak Posted December 7, 2000 Share Posted December 7, 2000 I don't have an answer, but after we first cut a server (7500/G3/300/OS8.6) over to FM 5, we had this happen once in the first week. It has not reoccurred in over 3 months. I don't know is this is random or there is something going on. What platform are you on? We're usinf the FM Server on Windows NT Server. This wasn't actually happening when we first installed the FM Server; but once we started using the files, this started to happen.
