Newbies anico1613 Posted June 1, 2009 Newbies Posted June 1, 2009 Hey I am wondering what the easiest way to make my filemaker databases available on the web to view externally from my server? I am trying to basically host databases?
mr_vodka Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I thought enough information was posted on the other forum regarding this subject. As I said earlier to you, if you want to publish your data from FileMaker on the web, you can either use Instant Web Publishing or if you want to embed the data into your pre-existing webpages, Custom Web publishing. You can either host this yourself with server ( server advanced for CWP) or use a hosting company that will do it for you.
John May - Point In Space Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 If you are interested in 3rd party hosting, please have a look at our services: http://www.pointinspace.com/ Let me know if you have any questions either here or via e-mail to jmay(at)pointinspace.com. - John
Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 By "on the web" I presume you mean viewed by web browsers. If you want to access the databases over the Internet by FileMaker Pro clients you can also do that. Mr. Vodka and John May have both given you some good suggestions for web browser access. Steven
