dimming or greying out a button

is there a an easy script to grey out a button for restricted priviliges?

for example the staff has access to only certain layouts but there are buttons that take them to those layouts; true they will not have access because of their limited priviliges already setup in 'manage database' but can i have those buttons greyed out on the layout?

You can use conditional formatting based on their privilege set to change the button look.

ok sounds good how about the ability to disable the button for those limited privilege staff

Well you should do the check in the script itself or you can hide the button using the visibility trick or multiple hidden tabs.
