esteshk Posted January 26, 2001 Posted January 26, 2001 I have seen this question asked before in one of the many FMP Forums I visit regularly (maybe even this one) but do not remember if it was answered. Here goes. Each time a master file calls for a related file hosted on FMP Server, an annoying message appears on the user's screen. If that related file is a large one, the message sits there until the file fully opens. This can take even longer if a script runs on opening. If the master file calls several related files............ Does anyone know of a way to suppress these messages or at the very least replace the messages of several opening files with a single message of the developer
LiveOak Posted January 26, 2001 Posted January 26, 2001 The only way I know of it to hack the application, something FMI takes a dim view of. -bd
WBlanchard Posted January 27, 2001 Posted January 27, 2001 Personally, I have all the most frequently used related file open automatically at the start up of a solution's main file. It sometimes takes a little longer to open on start up, but, the end users seem to preferred that to waiting in the middle of a process task. Just my 2 cents
