no23rman Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) I have Windows Filemaker 8 Server hosting our DBMS within a local network. The DBMS is protected with standard filemaker password. I have no choice to share our local network with one company(no chance of separating it). The fact that the company can access our local networks worried me, since I got some sensitive Filemaker DB data. How easy it is to crack open our FilemakerDBMS? Any external software to prevent someone hacking into our filemaker or hide our DBMS from local network? Edited June 10, 2009 by Guest
Steven H. Blackwell Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 This is way too broad a question for a definitive answer. But for a starter, does the "other company" also have FileMaker Pro installed? And what security options in FileMaker Server have you configured? Steven
