New Field Not Showing Up

Featured Replies

I've used phpMyAdmin to add a couple of field to a MySQL table that is shadowed in FileMaker. When I click the Sync button in the Manage Database dialog box, the new fields do not appear. I've done this before with success, so I don't understand why this is not working now. The fields are VARCHAR(32) fields and show up properly in phpMyAdmin.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck

Hi Chuck.

Hmmm that does seem strange. The sync usually always adds the fields AFAIK. Can you use another application to double check that you can see the fields with an ODBC import such as Excel?

I've not heard of this issue before. Is FM Server involved, or is the database hosted locally? Are you on a Mac? If so, do you have the latest version of the Actual driver (2.9b)?
