FM Server 5 mmc problem

New Installation.

I start the FMSERVER.mmc. Get the Gueses/Database Hosting/Server Monitoring?Admin/Task Schediler screen, Click on Database Hosting... nothing Happens!

Windows NT 4.0 SP6. TCPIP.

Does you Event Viewer Log record any errors under the System or Application Log?

Hello,

I had this same problem and found out that that Internet explorer 5 was not compatible with the FM server console. I reinstalled IE 4 and all worked fine.

Hope this helps.

Try putting at least one FM file in the server folder and reboot. We found that if there are no files to host, FMS service does not start - and apparently the Database Hosting tab won't open if the service is not started.

We have the same setup (NT4.0 SP6, IE5) and have had no problems.

Go for Internet Explorer 4.0 . I also had the same problem, and discovered that it is in the Internet Explorer that I was using; therefore I installed IE 4.0, and it's working just fine now!
