Newbies d_vantassell Posted March 22, 2001 Newbies Share Posted March 22, 2001 We're hosting some databases with FM Server and we just switched to 2000 from NT. Now I can't open the hosted databases on the machine that's hosting them, it' can't find it's own IP address. The other computers in the office (both Macs and PCs) access the files via the sever's IP address. FileMaker is set to use the TCP/IP connection, so it's not that. Any suggestions? Running both server and client on the same machine at the same time is REALLY slow and I do not recommend this unless it is absolutely necessary, especially if you can connect from another system.
