Can FM 5 Exist on FM 4 server

Newbies

I am in the middle of a FM 4 to FM 5 conversion. My question is can a FM 5 server exist on a FM 4 server? I know they can not serve files at the same time, but if I install FM 5 and leave it turned off and then turn off FM 4 and turn on FM 5 for test when I want, will this work? If somebody has tryed this and gotten it to work, what problems did you run into?

This works just fine. As a matter of fact, this is exactly the config we used. Just install 5, stop services for 4, then turn on 5. You won't want to look back!
