Writing PDF to IP Address directory, displaying in Web Viewer

Featured Replies

I am on FM Server 10, windows, with clients accessing the server both on the network at their offices, and remotely with an assigned IP address. Mac and Windows clients.

What I need to do is write reports that are generated to a pdf file, save that file to a shared directory, and then set a web viewer to display that newly created pdf file.

Currently, all windows users at the office on the network have a shared s:/dmdocuments directory that I could write to if on the local network but that doesn't solve my remove Mac users who aren't mapped into the shared directory.

What I'd like to do is use the IP address of the FM server and write all files, whether remotely or on the network directly to a path as follows.

ie. 24.210.3.22/fmdocuments

How would I accomplish this and what would I have to do to set up the fm server to see that path?

Any ideas fellow experts out there?

We upload our pdfs to a ftp server and use 360work's FTPeek to view them. hth.
