Display File Name of Imported csv File?

Featured Replies

Is there a way to display in a Field, the name of an imported csv file? I always start with an "empty" data base. I then import a csv file. I want the name of the imported file to display in a field. When I am through "vetting" that csv file, I delete all records and import a new csv file. Now I'd like to see its name displayed in a field. (This is so I won't lose track of the csv file I am vetting.) Is this possible?

Thanks for any help on this.

That's a work around I didn't even think of. It works perfect for what I use it for. I just created a container field, made it global, put it in the header, and imported the ref. to the file. It allows me to keep track of the csv file I'm working with by showing the name at all times.

Thank you very much for the tip.
