In my "master" layout, information in my fields appear like this: $1,000.00. When I try to merge them into a letter, they appear like this: 1000. I want the monetary merge fields in my letters to appear the same way as in the input fields- like $1,000.00- but I cannot figure out how to do this.

Please give very simple instructions- I'm not that great at Filemaker! Thanks!

In layout mode, select the merge field and format the date. The option is under the format menu.
