I'm currently running Filemaker Pro on a NT 4.0 server. I'm using the web publishing to let people access the databases through a web interface. I need to be able to let people have access to the databases through the web interface whenever the server is on, even if someone isn't logged into the server. Does either Filemaker Unlimited or Server let me run the program as a service so that even if nobody is logged on to the server, people can still get access to the site? I'm looking for basically the same ability that IIS has in that you don't need to be logged into the computer, the computer just needs to be on.

Filemaker Unlimited is the product for serving Filemaker over the Internet. I'm no NT techie, but I believe that Unl. can be hosted through IIS with Web Server Connector (which I believe is included). Otherwise, use Unlimited as the webserver and it's possible to login to the databases with or without web interfaces...

You are talking about Service. Unlimited is designed as an Application and not Service. FileMaker Inc. is advising against running FM as Service, but you can try.

Services like IIS are started without login.
