I hope this is the right place for question.

Can anyone explain to me why if you insert an excel spreadsheet as an object, it will update until you change to Browse Mode?

This sounds to me, very much the reverse of what it should be. Why will it update in Layout mode, but remain static in Browse mode?

This makes no sense at all to me.
