rmsherman Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 We network an FM file in Windows NT using the FileMaker Server 5.0. We have about 30 users. This works fine most of the time, but occasionally one of the users has his or her file shut down without warning. The message they get is "connection with host has been lost and cannot be reestablished." The users also claim that when "they get kicked off" they loose the information they have just typed in. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Bob Sherman
Newbies limey Posted June 29, 2001 Newbies Posted June 29, 2001 This seems to be a common happening. Not just with the Server Version but with FM5.5 running as the host for a file. I have the same problem but have not found a solution for it. I know this does not help but at least you are not the only one it is happening to.
Anatoli Posted June 29, 2001 Posted June 29, 2001 What are the clients? We see this all the time on HP Brio with W98, never on "no name" HW with NT4.
