July 28, 200916 yr Hi gang! New to FileMaker and am working on a Contact database. I have built a CONTACT table and an activity table with a relationship of ACTIVITY to CONTACT. There are various different types of activity (email, phone call etc) that are stored as records in the ACTIVITY table. What I am trying to accomplish is a field that shows how many times a particular activity has been attempted with a particular contact. So if I pull up Sally I can see in my portal to the ACTIVITY table that the last activity entry was phonecall #3 for example.. I want the value stored with the record. So if my last three activities were phone calls I would see phonecall 1, 2, and 3 as values in a field in their respective records.

July 28, 200916 yr Author AARGH! You're right.. I had even done something similar in a SQL DB I did years ago.. I don't know why I let a change in platform intimidate me so much.. especially with something as easily portable as table relationships.. Thanks once more comment..
