Importing special German characters in FM.

Hi,

I'm working on converting an FM database (v9.5) from English to German. The person who is doing the translation asked me if there are any problems with German umlauts like “ä,ö,ü” and special characters like "ß". I tested them and they seem to work OK and they show up in search, but I thought I would ask here to make sure. Translating the data to German is going to take a lot work and I want to make sure these characters aren't going to cause any problems. Has anyone had any experience working with special characters like this and is there anything that I should know about using them.

Thanks.

As long as you and the translator are working entirely in Unicode-aware applications, there shouldn't be any problems. There is no version 9.5, BTW.
