Can't Open Files

Featured Replies

I have just loaded up 3 new databases (all set with Multi Hidden) to our FMServer running WIN 2000 Server.

The Log file says "Can't open Database because it is already in use.

I have restarted the server but still no go.

any ideas?:

Are those the only files hosted? Do other files open OK?

I'm not familiar with W2K Server, but I know with NT4 Server, to make FMServer work right usually takes a lot of special tweaking - like binding each service to specific protocols, network cards and IP addresses. I'm guessing that some of these same issues will also apply to W2K Server.

I assume you also know that running FMServer on a Windows Server O/S puts FMS at the bottom of the priority list for processing cycles - all NT (W2K) Server tasks ALWAYS have priority to system resources.
