using a special font for a report

Featured Replies

I feel like I am missing the obvious, but I give up.

I created a "product card" template. Which users have populated several fields.

Then they print it from the "product card" summary screen. Which is basically a high res graphic of an empty product card, with the information overlayed on it.

I am trying to use very specific fonts on this layout. Regardless of what font the records are stored in.

I am having trouble getting Filemaker to see any of the special fonts I am trying to use, even though they are in my Font Folder of my computer.

Am I missing something? Is there a font management window I don't know about?

Also... if we have a centralized Filemaker Server.. is it possible to have the font stored there? Or will it have to be on each client machine that will use that summary?

Thanks!

AFAIK FMP only sees TRUE TYPE fonts.

Hmm.. the font is true-type.. but still not showing up...

Another question, sometimes someone using a Mac will cut and paste into the database... and if they forget to "paste without formatting" then their font will appear.

Do you know a quick way to mass fix all of the fonts in a field and put them back to a standard font?

Have a look at the TextFormatRemove function.
