Export field contents to a network share

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have a script that exports a container field's contents to Mac share. It receives the filename/path by way of a variable.

This script was working perfectly last year on a G5 (non-Intel) iMac running Tiger and FileMaker 8 Advanced. This year, the Mac was upgraded to an Intel iMac running Leopard.

As far as I can tell, nothing else has changed.. but now, the Export Field Contents step of the script is failing most of the time. Sometimes it works, but very often, I will get an OS X error that says "the file "blah blah" can not be written to the disk, please try changing the name or freeing up space" The Mac share has tons of space available on it and the file name is correct. Additonally, I am able to drag and drop to the share from the iMac desktop with no problem.

Any ideas what might be going on or how you might recommend I debug this situation??

I tried upgrading to FM 10.0v1 and am still having the problem.

thanks,

I'd be interested in helping resolve this as I was just planning something for a client in a similar vein. I have several Mac versions I can try the script on and compare results. Can you share this script for review? Screen shot is fine if it cant be copied easily to a file. I'm thinking that how the variable is writing the file path may be of issue.
