Does this mean corruption?

Hi --

I just deleted some old table Occurrences ... trying to clean up ... and I may have left some scripts around ... yesterday (when i did it) everything seemeed to be working fine ... today however ...

1. My startup script won't copy container fields to global container fields

2. Perform Find doesn't work ... it cannot find anything.

3. Any form that has Child records (in a portal) ... won't show the child records. (but, they are still there ... I can see them on a different Layout).

The Filemaker Profile attached is ocrrect and explains my environment.

Thanks.

Removing table occurrences is actually a big deal*. Table occurrences inform FM calcs, scripts and layouts of their context. So:

1. Confirm that your startup script navigates to the correct table occurrence (by going to a layout based on the needed TO (i.e., table)), before it starts the Set Fields for the globals.

2. Confirm that the layout that you are using for Find also is based on a TO for the relevant table.

3. Confirm that the TO for the portal is OK.

*You may have "orphaned" layouts and calculations.

Thank you for your insight ... I have Advanced Server running and I recovered an older backup copy and it works fine... now, I will spend the next couple of hours bringing my changes from the corrupt file over to the backup file. You are like my guardian angel for me on this project.

Kindest Regards,
