Auto-completion

I haven't used auto-completion option for Field Setups much so I don't know if this qualifies as a feature or just odd behavior...

If I type a few characters into a field and it matches multiple entries then they are displayed in a drop-down style as expected. However, if I use the delete key to remove all of the characters then the list does not disappear. Instead all of the prior entries into this field suddenly appear.

The behavior is different if the auto-completion feature matched only one prior entry. Deleting the text makes the list disappear (as I would expect).

Feature or odd behavior?
