dpccgf Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 I am trying to open a port on a network to allow an individual with Filemaker Pro outside our firewall access into the databases hosted by FM Server inside our firewall. Where exactly would I begin? Do I need to open a specific port that FM Server is running on? If so, how do I identify it?
DykstrL Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 Open port 5003 - both TCP and UDP. That should do it.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 If using NAT, depending on version of FM Server, you must open Port 5003 for TCP and block it for UDP (Version 5) or under 5.5 it doesn't matter. But Port 5003 must be open for TCP in any case. Old Advance Man
