Lookups

I am using FM8.5v2 with mac 10.5.8 and can not make lookup work with related tables. I have followed the help info over and over again and nothing. As far as I can tell I have it setup correctly. Still lookup data is blank. Maybe I just don't get it (this is real simple I know) or is it a problem with fm8.5 working with mac 10.5.8???

Thanks for any help!

Rick, what is the lookup's field definition? We need more details.

For example, a classic lookup is the Price of a product looked up from the Product record when a Product ID is entered in a Line Item record. The relationship would be LineItem::_kF_ProductID=Product::_kP_ProductID.

Change the lookup definition to display "some text" if there is no match.

My guess is the "some text" will appear in the field indicating that there is no match (as Barbara suggested).
