ScheduleAborted...not writable error

Featured Replies

I've schedule the database to be backup to a share on the network. However, the event viewer reports:

Schedule "everyday" aborted; the destination "Serversharefilemaker DB backup" not writable.

I have made sure that I can access the share from the filemaker server node with an administrator account.

Thanks for your help!!

Have FMS backup to the local drive in a backup folder, then use Windows Task Scheduler to run a BATch file to copy the backup folder to the network drive. Your backups will be more reliable. On my backups, I have a BATch file triggered by Task Scheduler that both copies the backup folder to a network drive AND runs the tape backup - this way I get 3 copies in 3 different locations.
