Angelo990 Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 I've schedule the database to be backup to a share on the network. However, the event viewer reports: Schedule "everyday" aborted; the destination "Serversharefilemaker DB backup" not writable. I have made sure that I can access the share from the filemaker server node with an administrator account. Thanks for your help!!
DykstrL Posted March 15, 2002 Posted March 15, 2002 Have FMS backup to the local drive in a backup folder, then use Windows Task Scheduler to run a BATch file to copy the backup folder to the network drive. Your backups will be more reliable. On my backups, I have a BATch file triggered by Task Scheduler that both copies the backup folder to a network drive AND runs the tape backup - this way I get 3 copies in 3 different locations.
