October 23, 200916 yr Newbies Hi, I'm a new FM user. We are using a service to host our FM database (I don't know which version of FM server they are using.) From my office PC I can successfully open the remote connection to the server and database, but I can't from home. Any suggestions? I'm running FM 9 Trial on a Mac OS X Leopard. I don't know if I need to change firewall settings (and if so, how?) or reconfigure my modem or contact my ISP. Thanks for suggestions!

There is a patch for SSL problems to FM 9 at the following location http://filemaker.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/filemaker.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=7016&p_sid=tHuer9Lj&p_lva=6995&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MjYsMjYmcF9wcm9kcz04NjQsODY1JnBfY2F0cz0mcF9wdj0yLjg2NSZwX2N2PSZwX3BzX2Fuc191cGRhdGVkPSZwX3BhZ2U9MSZwX3NlYXJjaF90ZXh0PXJlbW90ZSBmaWxl&p_li=
October 24, 200916 yr Welcome to FM Forums. Port 5003 needs to be opened on your firewall. You may also need Port 5353 (Bonjour). The problem might be with FileMaker 9. Try FileMaker 10 instead. Steven
