I have an old version of FMPro (3.0) that I might want to get the legacy files migrated to a newer version.

What version of FMPro will read 3.0 files?

You will need v6 or v5 to get the fp3 files upto fp5.

The current version (10) will convert the fp5 to fp7.

You might consider re-writing your database as the structure will likely be multi-file based and the latest version offers massive improvements over any thing prior to version 7.

Thanks for the quick reply.

So v5 is the version I will look into. I have mostly single file databases that have no real relational DB requirements. I use it mainly as a simple form development and contacts db.

FileMaker 10.0v3 will open/convert FileMaker 3 files.

Didn't know that one (never done it) - but thanks for the correction.
